Someone is having far too much fun here! I mean, it’s one thing to have your progress impeded by monolithic blocks, but lasers? Really?! Not fair, I’m telling you “Not Fair” (that being the alternative title for this piece).
So yes, we’re getting a little surreal here, but remember; this whole series stems from frustration with my perceived inability to paint any kind of realistic* landscape, so anything goes, right?
*not realism, and certainly not photo-realism, just…. trying to paint something that looks like somewhere real. Or maybe not even ‘looks like’, just feels like somewhere real. I dunno. I was confused. These are the result.
