Statement
Just as the man-made straight line draws attention in a landscape, I find something irresistibly attractive in the curves of human forms, no matter how abstracted. In practice, my work is nearly always about how I personally, or we as a species, perceive, interact with, affect and are affected by our environment. And yet it’s quite rare that the human form actually finds its way into the work. Sometimes, however, there are things to be said that I cannot express in terms of geometric shapes, land, sea or cityscapes alone. Sometimes it is necessary to depict the human form.
