What Are You Waiting For?

There’s just something about these. I can’t say for sure how this picture came to be – there was some inspiration, an initial idea, but it certainly didn’t involve the Moai, they just arrived in my head.

It’s all earth tones here, Umbers and Siennas – I enjoy painting with them anyway, but it seemed important for this piece that there were no synthetic colours used.

I think the finishing touch will be adding black edges, it’s going to change the feel of it, but I think for the better. Or maybe a dark frame…… your choice if I’ve not already done it!
