Progo – Catching A Wave

There were a couple of guys surfing off Progo when I was sitting on the clifftop making sketches for this – how did they get there?? (it’s a long way from any beach you can walk or even climb to) Dropped off by boat perhaps?
Painted in my ‘garden studio’ trying to trick my brain that because my work bench is ‘Not An Easel’ then I don’t need to be precious about it as it’s ‘Not A Serious Painting’ – gosh, the shenanigans we go through, just to slosh a bit of paint around! Worth it on this occasion though – this still takes me back to the bright, blustery vitality of that day.
